Director: Louis Leterrier
PLF was brought onto The Incredible Hulk during the pre-production phase in October of 2006. Our collaboration on Hulk began with three artists working extensively with Director Louis Leterrier and Visual Effects Supervisor/Co-Producer Kurt Williams on developing a motion language for both Hulk and the Abomination.
As we moved into sequence previsualization, the team grew to seven artists, and for the next 15 months we focused on visualizing the five most VFX intensive sequences in the movie. In April of 2007, the production moved to Toronto for six months of shooting. PLF supervisor Duane Floch collaborated with and oversaw a team of artists from Toronto’s SOHO VFX as shooting got underway.
Upon returning to Los Angeles in October, the LA-based team grew to ten artists as we transitioned into postvisualization. PLF tracked, animated and added various effects to over 500 shots during this final stage of involvement.
The overall shot count produced by the teams in LA and Toronto, in pre and post-production combined, exceeds 3,500.
PLF thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone at Hulk and would like to thank all of the people on our team for doing such a great job…
